Our roots trace to 1983 when Steve Marx, Chairman Emeritus, founded The Center for Sales Strategy as a customer-focused selling and talent-focused management consulting company serving media sales organizations. Today we continue Turning Sales Talent into Sales Performance, consulting B2B sales organizations.

We’re proud to be a Corporate Sponsor of this extraordinary private school designed for at-risk 5th-8th graders in Tampa’s inner city. Opened in 2003, Academy Prep is helping some of Tampa’s disadvantaged children grow into true contributors to our community’s future. The Center for Sales Strategy is involved at Academy Prep Center of Tampa, because our values and priorities are in perfect harmony with those of this amazing school.

The Academy Prep mission is to promote the educational, social, and ethical development of middle school students who qualify for need-based scholarships and have the ability and desire to succeed in a rigorous academic program to become positive, productive members of society. 

Girls and boys are taught separately, in classes of no more than 15 students.Academy Prep’s curriculum is demanding and heavily weighted in the basics: reading, speech and language arts, math, social studies, science, arts, and physical education.  Kids often enter performing below grade level and graduate with scores above grade level.

Academy Prep's full summer programAcademy Prep is much more than a school. Students are on campus 11 hours a day, 6 days a week, and there’s a full summer program. The program includes enrichment activities including drama, chess, karate, intramurals, character education, nightly study halls, and required Saturday activities. The program works! Academy Prep of Tampa has an average attendance rate of 97.7%, and graduates move on to some of the best high schools in Tampa Bay.

In addition to providing a full scholarship for one student each year, we offer our employees up to 8 hours paid time off each month for to volunteer at Academy Prep. Volunteers have worked as mentors, tutors, and study hall monitors.

Taylor's Gift Foundation

Only 37% of adults over 18 are currently enrolled in state donor registries.Taylor's Gift exists to increase organ donation through youth education. The Center for Sales Strategy is proud to support their efforts in this noble cause. Many people currently think they are organ donors when in fact they are not.
